A, Dottore Commercialista” (chartered accountant), he is a member of the Associazione dei Dottori Commercialisti di Milano e Lodi (Milan and Lodi Chartered Accountants Association) and is entered on the register of ,Revisori Contabili” (auditors). He is a statutory auditor and member of the board of directors at major Italian and international corporations. An Italian and international tax expert, he is a tax advisor to important Italian and multinational groups.
He has participated in the preparation and execution of major M&A deals. He joined his father Rinaldo at Studio Rocco Commercialisti in 1955, contributing to its development and growing notoriety. He immediately contributed to the development of the chartered accountant and business consultancy profession in Italy, by holding major positions in this field and spearheading important initiatives, such as the creation of the profession’s retirement fund and specialised periodical publications. In 1990 he led development of the first network of chartered accountants in Italy. Through its European Economic Interest Grouping, he joined the independent network of corporate lawyers.
He has also held numerous public positions representing his profession. Following the natural evolution of his business, Giorgio Rocco founded the private professional partnership Studio Rocco & Associati in 2003. It serves a broad spectrum of Italian and international clients and covers all aspects of Italian and international tax law, as well as general legal, corporate and financial consultancy, by providing integrated assistance in complex corporate operations.
